Ms. Lucero - Physical Education

About Me!

Welcome! My name is Ms. Lucero and I am the Physical Education teacher here at Pomeroy! This is my first year with the Pomeroy Rockets and I am so excited to share my knowledge and love for PE with all of you. I am from the area and went to school in the Santa Clara Unified School District, from Sutter to Buchser then Santa Clara High! After high school I attended Foothill Community College where I focused on Physical Education and then transferred to Cal State East Bay in Hayward, California. I received my Bachelors degree in Physical Education with a teaching option and then went into the Credential/Masters program at National University. I have always been focused on wanting to teach PE and I am thrilled to be given this opportunity.

I am a HUGE San Jose Sharks fan and root for the Giants, 49ers, Warriors   and Earthquakes when they are playing, but the Sharks are my team! I love playing soccer, in fact I coached at Santa Clara High for 7 years. I have played for over 20 years but recently had to stop due to a reoccurring knee injury. I have also played basketball, softball, water polo and been on a swim team. I love all sports and being active. I really enjoy spending time with my family and going out on the lake with them or staying at home and cooking dinner together. I LOVE my Starbucks and they know me by name there:) I have a fur baby but she is much different than most fur babies, she is a 5 year old guinea pig named Willa! She loves her morning carrot and night time snacks that include all kinds of fruits and veggies. Fun fact about Willa, she is potty trained and when I make a whistle noise she squeaks back!
