Classroom News:

We continue to work on our Reading unit: “Writing About Reading with Voice and Investment”.  In Writing we continue to work on “Personal Narratives”.  In Math we will begin a new unit on “Decimal Fractions”.  In Social Studies we will continue to work on our unit on “American Indians and Their Land” and “American Indian Cultural Regions”.  In Science we will continue to work on our “Earth, Sun, and Moon” unit.


Special Announcements:

  • Thank you all for attending Parent-Teacher Conferences last week!  I enjoyed meeting all of you and look forward to an exciting year! Your children work hard and put forth great effort in school.  I appreciate all your support! 

  • If you were not able to make it to your conference last week, I will contact you soon to reschedule.

  • Congratulations to Memo, Omar, and Javier for receiving the Lifeskills Award for “Respect”!


General Reminders:

  • Tuesdays and Fridays are P.E. Days for Room 3.  Please remind your child to wear comfortable clothing and shoes for P.E.

  • Your child may bring a water bottle to school.  Please label the water bottle with your child’s name.


Homework Reminders:  

  • Read for at least 30 minutes daily.

  • Work on ST Math, Raz-Kids, and Typing Agent daily if time allows.

  • Monthly Book Reports are assigned and handed out to students on the first day of the month and due on the last day of the month.  

  • Monthly Book Summaries are to be completed in Google Classroom (or handwritten) and are due at the end of the month.

  • Students need to choose two different books for their Monthly Book Reports and Monthly Book Summaries

  • Weekly Vocabulary Word Sentences are to completed in Google Classroom (or handwritten) and are due at the end of each week.

  • Work on any unfinished class assignments and/or projects. 

  • Please check your child’s agenda planbook daily for additional assignments, important dates, and reminders.

  • Oct. 25= Lifeskills Assembly, 8:15am

  • Oct. 31= Halloween Parade, 8:30am
