Room 3

Classroom News:

We are working on our first Reading unit called “Writing About Reading with Voice and Investment”.  In Writing we will be working on “Personal Narratives”.  In Math we will finish Module 1, “Place Value”, and will begin Module 2 which is about “Reviewing the Standard Algorithm for Multiplication”.  In Social Studies we took two of our “States and Capitals” tests, the Pacific States and the Southwest States.  Our next region will be the Mountain States. We are working on our unit on “The First Native Americans”.  In Science we started our “Physical Science” unit about Mixtures and Solutions.


Special Announcements:

I would like to introduce to you Mrs. Leah Spielmaker.  She is a student teacher from San Jose State University and she will be working in our classroom everyday until December.  She is in her final phase of student teaching and will graduate this December with her teaching credential and masters degree.  Please welcome her!


General Reminders:

  • Tuesdays and Fridays are P.E. Days for Room 3.  Please remind your child to wear comfortable clothing and shoes for P.E.

  • Your child may bring a water bottle to school.  Please make sure it’s labeled with your child’s name.


Homework Reminders:  

  • Read for at least 30 minutes each night.

  • Work on ST Math, Raz-Kids, and Typing Agent.

  • Book Reports are due at the end of the month.

  • Math Facts Packets are due at the end of each week.

  • Complete any unfinished class assignments.

  • Please check the agenda planner daily for additional assignments and reminders.

  • Sept. 25th-28th= 1:22pm Early Dismissal, Parent-Teacher Conference Week

  • Sept. 28th= Lifeskills Assembly, 8:15am

  • Sept. 28th= Walk-a-thon, 8:45am-10:30am
