FROM THE PRINCIPAL
As the 2016-2017 school year comes to an end, I find myself reflecting upon the year and how quickly time has passed. I would like to thank the entire Pomeroy community of families (parents, students, family members, friends, and volunteers) for making our school the successful and exceptional place that it is. On behalf of the staff, we want you to enjoy your summer vacation and create wonderful memories with your children continuing to encourage them to read, attending outdoor activities as a family and spending time together.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR

For those families who will be returning to Pomeroy for the 2017/2018 school year, parents/guardians will have online access beginning July 31st, 2017 to view and update contact information for their child.

 

A letter (summer mailer) with specific information regarding the parent portal and proof of residency
will be mailed to all Pomeroy families the end of June.


Please note that PRIOR to the designated days for Packet Pick-Up and Residency Verification (August 2-4) YOU WILL NEED TO:

  •  Create a DISTRICT Parent Portal account (if you do not yet have an account) so you can update your contact information

To create an account you will need:

  1. Email account 
  2. Your child’s Permanent Student Identification which will be noted on summer mailer letter
  3. Verification Code which will be noted on summer mailer letter
  4. Valid *Primary Area Code and Telephone Number which will be noted on summer mailer letter(*primary contact phone number currently on file for your child)
  •  Print out a copy of your updated emergency contact information
  •  Submit the emergency contact print out (signed) with your proof of residency documents

The planned dates for “Proof of Residency” and Packet Pick-Up are:
Wednesday August 2nd   3pm-7pm    Transitional Kindergarten-2nd Grades
Thursday August 3rd        3pm-7pm    3rd-5th Grades
Friday August 4th             9am-12:00   Any grade
(You only need to come to one of the above if you have siblings in different grades)
 

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR THE 17/18 SCHOOLYEAR IS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 16TH
It is extremely important that your child attend school the first day.
