Every Wednesday

School is dismissed every Wednesday at 1:22 for ALL students. Please make arrangements to have your child picked up on time.

Student pickup procedures

In an effort to keep our children safe at the end of the day, 1st through 5th Grade teachers walk their classes out to the flagpole area in front of the school. Please meet your students in this area, and not in the corridors between buildings. Kindergarten parents  pick up their students at their classroom. Thank you for your cooperation.

Parking and Traffic Flow

Parents are to park in spaces marked “Visitor” or any unmarked space.  DO NOT park in  any “Staff” designated space.
Due to the large demographic area, large student population, and limited parking available at Pomeroy, we encourage Pomeroy families to walk to school if possible instead of driving.  Walking offers a healthier lifestyle for all members of the family. Walking can be a time to share conversation with your child without all the distractions that can be unsafe when driving.  It also saves our planet from exhaust fumes and helps in conserving our planets limited resources.

The Governing Board of Santa Clara Unified School District is committed to equal opportunity for all individuals.  The District prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying based actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation or association with a person or a group with one or more of these perceived or actual characteristics.  The Board shall promote programs which ensure that discriminatory practices are eliminated in all acts related to school activity or school attendance within a school under the jurisdiction of the superintendent of the school district.

The District requires that school personnel take immediate steps to intervene when it is safe to do so and when he or she witnesses an act of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying.
